City areas
For a small town Isola has some interesting areas, which really merit a visit. Two of them are more popular, not only with the locals but tourists alike. Place Jean Caissa, the historical center of town, and Tine Path, which follows the course of the Tine river, are the most picturesque areas in town.
Place Jean Caissa
The Place Jean Caissa is the historic center of this little village and the place where people congregate in the community. In the winter time this becomes a busy little ski resort and the square fills with tourists tramping around gathering equipment under the watchful eye of the good looking old buildings. In the summer café culture comes to the square as the warmer weather allows visitors to enjoy a coffee whilst they enjoy the view.
Tine Path
The views from this tiny mountain village are second to none anywhere in this area, a real treat for lovers of nature and panoramas. This little river crashes through the community at a colossal pace as it makes its way down through the mountains and greenery. There are pathways that follow the river in sections, and these are popular with local people and visitors as a walking path that offers you some of the best pastoral views.
